Quantitative courses are those rated “highly quantitative” or “semi-quantitative” by the home institution and located in the QTEM course database:
Highly quantitative courses
Courses involving as a core component the processing (identification, collection, transformation and/or presentation for decision making) of large datasets, theoretical modelling or simulations, using analytical tools and methodologies
Examples: Quantitative finance; Financial econometrics
Semi-quantitative courses
Courses involving some processing (identification, collection, transformation and/or presentation for decision making) of data, theoretical modelling or simulations but to a lesser extent than a highly quantitative course (e.g., not at the core of the course, or using limited datasets)
Examples: Merger and acquisition; Control and planning
